Job Type: Manager: Full-time/Salaried - Non-Exempt
Job Location: Philadelphia, PA / New Jersey with travel to client
facilities throughout area.
What will you do as a Clinical Applications Specialist
Basic Function:
The Clinical Application Specialist ("CAS") shall be responsible
for addressing any clinical and/or technical issues, equipment
issues, HUB needs, clinical protocols, clinical site/HUB
documentation reviews, transportation concerns pertaining to
radiation safety, customer support and training. The CAS is
proficient and knowledgeable in operating the Rb-82 infusion
system. This position requires the development and implementation
of necessary Nuclear Cardiac PET clinical and technical oversight
to deliver prompt, efficient and safe services to patients on
behalf of the customers for CDL Nuclear Technologies. The employee
must work in collaboration with the Clinical Applications Manager,
Operations Manager and Director of Operations in ensuring the
objectives of patient care, quality assurance, in-service
education, customer satisfaction and radiation safety are met. The
CAS will assist the Clinical Applications Manager with equipment
and technical duties, including but not limited to, appropriate
training for new clinical personnel, customer's clinical training
and preparation necessary to facilitate efficient start-up,
supporting ongoing continuity of care, overseeing the vendors
initial and on-going technical training, ensuring appropriate
resolutions to any/all client issues involving technical and
clinical operations and processes. The employee will be available
to staff at customer facilities when needed. The employee is
required to maintain CDL business and patient confidentiality. The
CAS will assist with instructing new employees and coworkers and
diligently applying the CDL Company Objectives.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must have at minimum a college degree in Nuclear Medicine
Must be board certified by the NMTCB and/or AART
Must have state license for Texas or New Jersey
Must have a minimum of four years of experience in Nuclear
Cardiology/PET
Must have demonstrated creativity in improving work routines and in
completing assigned projects
Must possess expert communication, human relation, organizational
and clinical/technical Nuclear Cardiac training skills to work
effectively and compatibly to complete all tasks required
Must possess the professionalism and poise to deal with conflict
and emergencies and adaptability to deal with change as it
occurs
Preferred:
Experience with OEM/Third Party PET software/processing
Experience with desktop computers and software including word
processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Critical Performance Skill:
Clinical expertise regarding Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac PET
imaging. Decisiveness, Spoken Communications, Assertiveness,
Commitment to Task, Organization and Planning, Creativity, Team
Building, Decision Making and Problem Solving, Leadership
Working Conditions:
Manual dexterity is required to deliver, install, and setup
equipment, and unpack boxes or crates. Ability to obtain
satisfactory results by following set procedures and standards.
Ability to expertly train all clinical personnel associated with
Cardiac PET laboratories. Prolonged standing may be required.
Travel to multiple nationwide job sites through means of ground
transportation or air travel. Some pushing, pulling, reaching, etc.
required during work period. Electrical, magnetic, and ionizing
radiation hazards are present. Takes safety precautions and wears
protective gear when appropriate. Always adheres to all ALARA
principles and radiation safety.
