Job Description:
Unison Systems has an immediate need for a Pre-Sales Engineer.
This position is a direct or contract to hire position with our
National Client.
Pre-Sales IT Services and Solutions Consultant
Seattle/West Coast, Minneapolis/Midwest, DC/Midantlantic,
Atlanta/Southeast, NJ/NYC
Functional Position Description:
As an IT technical services generalist and solution specialist,
this resource is an extension of the sales team working directly
with customers to augment/speed up the Sales by bringing technical
subject matter expertise to the table. Specifically this resource
performs the following pre-sales functions:
Primary Responsibility
As a member of customer facing account and sales team, contribute
towards building customer relationship present and speak about
overall capabilities
Assist sales in Identifying and qualify opportunities within the
assigned region or account base.
Accountable for identifying and coordinating right solution
proposals working with practice areas and present to client
Assist in developing overall capabilities and practice area
presentations.
Assist in preparation of Sales Collateral (defining themes,
technical articles, white papers, flyers, case studies, and
knowledge base portal content) and customer facing marketing
materials for customer meetings.
Proactively work with Sales and Marketing in
hosting/coordinating/participating in marketing events around GITSS
both internal and external
Provide assistance in building RFI, RFP, and SOW
OVERALL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have at least 12 years of prior consulting experience or as a
technology leader with mid-tier and/or large global management and
technology IT professional services organizations.
Enterprise Software and technology industry experience in a
consultative environment required.
Prior experience producing or contributing to the preparation of
Project Proposals, contract management and Statements of Work
(SOWs)
Can create and deliver C-Level presentations and interface with
them in building relationship
Comfortable in a Matrix Management, Cross-functional, and
Collaborative Organization
Can successfully navigate internal processes to coordinate efforts
internally between Sales, Marketing and IT delivery.
Experience in Sales Opportunity Management, Bid/Proposal Management
and Relationship Building.
Excellent grasp of competitive landscape, solution services and
offerings and market place demands for ITS Services
Personal Skills:
Highly organized, resourceful, with strong creative problem solving
skills.
Exceptional customer relationship skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and
verbal
A demonstrated passion for customer service.
Should possess the ability to distill complex customers problems
into tangible solutions by translating customer requirements into
service solutions.
Passion to learn about emerging technology, trends and the ability
to apply it towards solutions for our clients
Technical Expertise:
Demonstrated experience in several of the following preferred:
Overall understanding and general experience across all SDLC
lifecycle including Architecture, Design Development Testing and
Operations.
Technical knowledge and general experience about solutions based
leading technology platforms providers like SAP, ORACLE, IBM,
MICROSOFT, EMC etc
Experience around large complex global delivery and operations
model based on industry standards like ITIL, CMMi etc
Experience and knowledge around emerging technologies such as
Cloud, Mobility, BigData etc
Education & Certification:
Computer Science or Engineering Bachelors Degree required
Masters Degree preferred
12 plus years in the IT Services arena as a pre-sales consultant or
as a Sr IT technology leader with a large or mid tier services
provider.
Must have full spectrum understanding solutions and services across
application development, managed services, and infrastructure
consulting spanning multiple industries.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to understand
client challenges, gather requirements and propose solutions.
Duration: Direct or Contract to hire, travel may be required
