Job Description:
A company is looking for a UM Appeals Follow-up Support
Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Obtain service authorization and monitor authorization compliance
for Medicare and Non-Medicare services
Assist with the appeals process and respond to clinical information
requests in accordance with regulatory guidelines
Prepare appeal summaries, correspondence, and document information
for tracking and trending data
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Preferred 1 year of post High School business or college
coursework
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in medical insurance,
medical records, or medical office
Experience with Medicare, State, Hospice, HMO, PPO, and traditional
insurance regulations preferred
EPIC or electronic medical record experience preferred
